Viscoelastic Damping Materials for Vibration and Bump Management
Viscoelastic Damping Materials are high-energy dissipative polymers used to effectively control resonance induced vibrations in vibrating structures or devices. Viscoelastic Damping Polymers are designed to have both "Viscous" and "Elastic" characteristics; "Viscous" to damp vibrational energy by converting it to negligible heat and "Elastic" to allow it to recover after each vibration cycle repetitively. Vibration amplitudes and structure-borne noise, subsequently can be reduced. In addition to reduced noise, product fatigue and performance are enhanced using vibration damping tape and vibration damping material or vibration dampening material.
